My Vision for the Village
The roads in our Village need serious repairs. In my first term, I introduced and passed a 1 million dollar a year local road repair plan without a tax increase to residents, while cutting the 33 year projection completion date down to 15 years.
The influx of traffic due to the Highway 100 expansion did provide an opportunity for business resurgence. The business growth in Hales Corners has improved these last few years even with the onslaught of Covid-19. Revitalization is crucial to help with our tax base. Local businesses pay taxes, in turn lowering the amount of taxes each household pays. Along with the tax savings, good businesses provide the opportunity for local job growth. Since 2018, the following businesses have opened their doors in our community: Festival Foods, El Dorado Street Tacos, Batteries Plus, Brothers Gyros & Pizza, Teriyaki Madness and Korean Chicken.
Hales Corners is a great place to live and raise a family. We have amazing parks, neighborhoods and people. Many of our local businesses donate and invest in our Village. We need to continue and nurture those relationships while looking for creative ways to development many of our other assets.
